Tropical climate. It has two marked seasons: the dry season (May to October), with clear days, low humidity and excellent visibility; and the wet/green season (November to April), with greater heat, tropical and intense but brief rains, and a greater presence of jellyfish.
Warm tropical waters all year round. In winter (June to August) they are around 22-24°C, while in summer (December to February) they reach 28-30°C. The waters of the interior lagoons and islands are serene and of exceptional transparent clarity.
Between November and May (wet season) the presence of poisonous jellyfish (Box Jellyfish and Irukandji) is recorded in coastal waters. It is mandatory to use protective lycra suits (stinger suits) for bathing.

The ideal time is the dry season, between May and October. The temperatures are very pleasant (22-26°C), the humidity is lower, the water has maximum visibility for diving and there is no significant presence of poisonous jellyfish. In addition, between July and September you can spot humpback whales on their migration.
If you visit the region between November and May, always wear a stinger suit when swimming in the open sea or on beaches without a protective net due to the presence of dangerous jellyfish. Strictly follow the 'don't touch anything' rule underwater to protect the fragile coral ecosystem.
