Unnecessary and practically useless in the historic center. It is only relevant to connect with the high-speed train station.
Don't settle for the view from the square. Go down the Paseo del Salón, cross the Eresma River and go up to the Pradera de San Marcos. The view from there, with the meadow and the river in the foreground, is postcard-perfect.
Look at the ashlars of the Aqueduct. On many of them you will see engraved marks. They are the signatures of the stonemasons who carved them 2000 years ago.
Life is calm. Enjoy a leisurely walk. Small shops usually close at midday.
The tap water is of excellent quality, coming from the mountains.
The biggest danger in Segovia is spraining an ankle. The streets are cobblestone and irregular. Wear flat shoes with good support.
