Schedules: Spaniards live on a later schedule than the rest of Europe. Lunch is usually between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM, and dinner not before 9:00 PM. Many small shops close at midday (the famous 'siesta'), although large chains and shopping centers usually have continuous hours.

Internal Transport: Getting around Spain is easy. The high-speed train network (AVE) connects the main cities quickly and efficiently. There is also an extensive and affordable bus network. To reach the islands, there are numerous domestic flights and ferries.

Language: The official language is Castilian (Spanish). However, in some autonomous communities, there are other co-official languages, such as Catalan in Catalonia, Galician in Galicia, and Basque in the Basque Country. In tourist areas, it is common to find people who speak English.

Tipping: Tipping is not mandatory as in other countries. Service is already included in the bill. However, if the service has been very good, it is customary to leave a small tip (usually by rounding up the bill or leaving a few coins) as a gesture of appreciation.
