Declared of International Tourist Interest. The solemn processions through the narrow, steep streets of the Albaicín, with the Alhambra in the background, create moments of overwhelming beauty.

The main fair in Granada. For a week, the fairgrounds are filled with 'booths' for eating, drinking and dancing, and the city center hosts processions and a great festive atmosphere.

The Mirador de San Nicolás is incredible but it is overcrowded. For an equally good and quieter view, go up to the Mirador de San Miguel Alto or look for the Carmen de la Victoria.

The Cármenes are the traditional houses of the Albaicín with a garden and orchard. Many are private, but some like the Carmen de los Mártires can be visited and are an oasis of peace.
