From December to May (dry season). During these months the sea is calmer and the southern roads for waterfall excursions are safer. January is ideal to experience the Sinulog Festival.

Driving distances between the north (port to Bantayan/Malapascua) and the south (Moalboal/Oslob) take between 3 and 5 hours each way due to traffic on the central crossing of Cebu City. Plan your route dividing the nights between north and south.
