The hotels on the Strip seem to be next to each other, but they are gigantic and the distances are enormous. Be prepared to walk a lot or use transportation.

The monorail is useful for quickly getting around the east side of the Strip (from MGM to the Sahara), but it doesn't take you everywhere.

Ridesharing services (Uber, Lyft) are usually cheaper than taxis. There are designated pickup areas at each hotel; You can't stop them on the street.
