Itinerary
Days 1–4Ubud
Rice terraces, temples (1–2), cafés and one water day.
- Don’t do 6 temples. Pick two with intention.
Days 5–8South coast
Canggu (vibe), Uluwatu (cliffs) or Seminyak (more service).
- Sunset at Uluwatu temple or a beach club — one, not three.
Days 9–10Escape
Nusa Penida (intense day) or Amed/Sidemen (calmer).
- Flight: leave buffer — DPS traffic surprises.
Practical Bali
Scooter
Helmet always. If inexperienced, driver/Grab. Insurance matters.
Bases
Ubud centre/north · coast: pick ONE area, don’t hop nightly.
Temples
Sarong when asked. Respect ceremonies — not Instagram props.
Payments
Rupiah + card. ATMs: mall machines when you can.
Tips
The whole Indonesia map
Lombok + Gili + Bali in 10 days = only boats.
Early mornings
Rice terraces and temples before heat and tour buses.
Nusa Penida
Full intense day. If seasick, choose Amed.
Only beach clubs
One is fine. Bali is also village and offering.
