Days 1–6Siem Reap & Angkor
3-day pass: Angkor Wat sunrise, Bayon/Ta Prohm, grand circuit at a calm pace. One village/Tonle Sap lite or rest day — not five sunrises in a row.
- Trusted tuk-tuk > chaotic hop-on. Respect temple dress codes.
Days 7–10Phnom Penh
Bus or short flight. Royal Palace, National Museum, Mekong riverside, and a memory site (Tuol Sleng / Choeung Ek) with respect and time — not as a selfie stop.
- One heavy history day — leave emotional space after. Eat well and walk the river at dusk.

Getting around
REP–PNH flight or comfortable bus (6–7 h). In cities: tuk-tuk/Grab. Angkor pass online or at the booth.
Where to stay
Siem Reap: near Pub Street without living in the noise · Phnom Penh: Riverside or BKK1.
Money & respect
USD and riel mix. Temples: covered shoulders/knees. Genocide sites: silence, no selfies.

Amok · nom banh chok · Cambodian coffee · market fruit. Try a cooking class in Siem Reap.

Better than one “all Angkor” day in the sun. Siestas and shade are strategy.
