14 days · Pick one axis
Thailand in 14 days
Thailand in 14 days: Bangkok, north (Chiang Mai) or islands. How not to overload domestic flights and pick one axis.
Two weeks, one clear axis
Bangkok (3–4) + Chiang Mai (3–4) + islands (5–6) is the classic. If you hate domestic flights, do Bangkok + islands deeper. The SEO mistake is wanting the whole map.

When
Nov–Feb
Peak demand. Book early (“cool” season).
Mar–May
Intense Bangkok heat. Islands OK by region.
Jun–Oct
Rain / monsoon by coast. Sometimes cheaper.

Total
Structure
Days 1–4Bangkok
Grand Palace/Wat Pho (pick), Chao Phraya, street food and one hood (Ari/Chinatown).
- Don’t do 8 temples. Two done well is enough.
Days 5–8Chiang Mai (option)
Old city, mountain temples, cafés and one ethical nature day.
- If you skip the north: add island nights here.
Days 9–14Islands
Railay/Krabi, Koh Lanta, Phuket (pick vibe) or Koh Tao (dive).
- One main island + optional day trip. Hopping eats days.
Practical
Domestic flights
Max 2–3 hops. Each flight eats half a day.
Temples
Shoulders/knees; shoes off. Not a photo set.
Scooter
Helmet + insurance. If inexperienced, don’t improvise.
Food
Street food with local queues. Bottled water / trusted ice.
Tips
North + south + remote islands
In 14 days it’s an airport race.
One island base
Sleep 4+ nights. The sea is enjoyed still.
Full moon / party islands
If that’s not your vibe, pick Lanta or Railay over the party island of the month.
Elephant “shows”
Choose ethical sanctuaries or skip the activity.
