The best advice for Pisa. The city transforms at night and early in the morning, when the hordes of day-long tourists are gone. Seeing Piazza dei Miracoli illuminated and almost empty is a magical experience.
Walk along the city walls
A section of the medieval walls near the Camposanto is open to the public. It offers a completely different and peaceful perspective of Piazza dei Miracoli.
