Je l'ai déjà été !Explora el fascinante pasado de Shenzhen y descubre cómo se ha desarrollado a lo largo de los siglos.
For centuries, the area of present-day Shenzhen was an area of counties and market towns, the most relevant being Bao'an County. Its ancient history is that of a quiet coastal town dedicated to fishing and salt production, overshadowed by the neighboring and powerful Canton (Guangzhou).
The radical turning point in its history occurred in 1980, when Deng Xiaoping designated it as China's first Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This decision, designed to experiment with market capitalism and attract foreign investment, unleashed economic and demographic growth unprecedented in human history.
Today, Shenzhen is a global technology giant, home to multinational companies such as Huawei, Tencent, BYD and DJI. It has established itself as a leader in innovation, advanced manufacturing and finance, with one of the most important stock exchanges in the world and a young, highly qualified population made up of migrants from all over China.
La cronología histórica muestra los momentos clave que han definido el desarrollo de Shenzhen a lo largo de los siglos.

Beauty is manufactured and futuristic. The skyline and urban parks are its forte. The coast and mountains offer a natural counterpoint.
An open-air museum of ultramodern architecture. The city is a playground for avant-garde architects, with a skyline that is constantly reinvented.
Its historical importance is precisely its lack of history. It is the symbol of China's economic openness and unprecedented development.
Surprisingly green for an asphalt megacity. The government has invested heavily in parks and green belts.
As a new and modern city, it enjoys high standards of cleanliness in its public spaces and its metro. Air quality is a variable problem.
It is the world's hardware mecca. The best place on the planet to design, prototype and manufacture electronics at unmatched speed and cost.
A paradise for nomads focused on hardware and technology, with excellent infrastructure. The 'Great Firewall' and the cost of living are the biggest drawbacks.
