Osaka's motto is 'eat until you drop'. Don't cut yourself. Try Takoyaki (octopus balls), Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza/omelette) and Kushikatsu (breaded skewers).
Many of the best and most authentic restaurants are small places or stands where you eat standing ('tachinomi' for bars, 'tachigui' for food). Don't be shy and join the locals.
When eating kushikatsu, you can only dip the skewer in the communal sauce ONCE, before taking your first bite. Don't dip twice ('nidozuke kinshi') is the golden rule!
